hey creators and innovators,

Sara Craighead here, dropping in with today's 'sara's take' hot off the presses. I've been watching the industry closely and it's crystal clear: the AI product lifecycle isn't just fast anymore, it's warp speed.

the blur of development and deployment

There was a time, not so long ago, when a company could spend years in R&D, perfecting a product before a grand launch. Think Apple with its early iPhones, carefully crafted and released with immense fanfare. With AI, that luxury is gone. We're seeing major models and applications go from concept to public release in a matter of months, sometimes weeks. It's a sprint, not a marathon, and the finish line keeps moving.

what this means for founders and green daisy

At Green Daisy, we're constantly adapting. This acceleration means testing, iterating, and getting feedback from real users has to happen almost simultaneously with development. It's a continuous loop, not a linear path. We're building minimum viable products (MVPs) faster, pushing them out, and then rapidly cycling through improvements based on usage data and user insights. This isn't just about speed; it's about agility and responsiveness.

agility is the new advantage

This rapid cycle isn't for the faint of heart. It requires a culture that embraces change, isn't afraid to fail fast, and prioritizes learning. Companies that cling to traditional, slow-moving development cycles will simply get left behind. The ability to pivot, to quickly integrate new research breakthroughs, or to respond to a shift in user needs is becoming the ultimate competitive advantage.

it's all about sustained innovation

It's not enough to launch one great AI product; you have to plan for a constant stream of updates and evolutions. This pushes us to think about architecture that's flexible, and teams that are cross-functional and empowered to make quick decisions. It's a challenging but incredibly exciting time to be building in AI.

So, how are you seeing this accelerated pace impact your own work or your perception of new tech?
